After a few days of fun, but busy activities, settling down with the Christmas story and a simple colouring activity is a nice way to prepare for Christmas.
You will need:
- A Christmas story book or picture Bible
- A picture of the Shepherds for colouring
What to do:
Read/share the Christmas story with your children. Encourage any questions they might have and help them to focus on the chorus of Angels heralding the news to the Shepherds.
Give your children a picture of the Shepherds to colour in. Set aside or display when finished. This colouring in sheet will be joined by others throughout Advent so that at its conclusion your children will have created their own Christmas story book.
If you do not have a suitable image for colouring in have a look here.
