Lent Week 2: Stained Glass Crosses

You will need:

  • Coloured paper
  • Tissue paper in assorted colours
  • Clear contact
  • Scissors
  • Cross template (at bottom of post)

What to do:

Print out cross template and cut.

Cut the clear contact into a rectangle that is as long as your cross, but twice as wide.

Fold in half. Remove backing paper to fold line.

Place cross onto contact, face down. Cut tissue paper into small squares and place in centre of cross, sticking to the contact.

When you have filled the empty space inside the cross remove the remaining backing paper and press contact down over the top of your cross so that it is sealed.

Trim edges.

Hang your cross (preferably on a window) and enjoy this visual reminder of Lent.
