Lent Week 6: Pearls And Clams

St Margaret Clitherow was also known as the pearl of York. Jesus talks about pearls in His parables and they are a great way to remember that the most valuable things in this world, are really those of the next: the Kingdom of Heaven. Make your own pearl and clam.

What you’ll need:

  • A paper plate
  • Pink paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • White paper (or a small ball like a table tennis ball or Styrofoam ball)

What to do:

Trace around your paper plate onto some pink paper.

Mark a smaller circle out inside this line and cut out.

Fold plate and paper in half.

Glue pink paper into plate so that there is a border.

Glue Styrofoam ball to the bottom. Once dry, glue to top of the plate too.
