Here’s how to Make Your Own Peanut Butter!

If you are like me and LOVE peanut butter then you will enjoy making, tasting and perfecting your own. Unlike shop bought varieties this peanut butter has no preservatives, no added colours or flavourings!
It’s natural, yummy and good for you & your family, simple and quick to make, even the children can help!

The recipe below gives a balanced taste. If you want a less salty or more sweet peanut butter just add or reduce the salt or honey amounts. You can taste test as you blend.

What you will need:
2 cups of roasted peanuts
2 tablespoons of olive oil or coconut oil
3/4 tsp quality salt
1 1/2 tsp honey

Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend on medium speed. The peanuts will go through different stages of consistency until the smooth final product is reached. This can take from 5 – 10 min depending on your blender. Don’t worry if you have to keep stopping to give it a shake or move things around with a spoon (then lick the spoon!)
The peanuts will go from whole to chopped and then releasing their natural oils will turn into a paste.
Blend to your preferred consistency.

Simply jar and enjoy.
