Nutritious Whole Wheat Pizza



Making your own Pizzas have never been so simple! Try out this recipe for Nutritious Whole Wheat Pizza, made with whole wheat pita bread.

Nutritious Whole wheat Pizza
Serves 4
A wholesome 'guilt free' pizza made with whole wheat pita breads. Quick, simple, hot and crispy within minutes - a real crowd pleaser!

  1. 4 whole-wheat pita breads
  2. 3 cups fresh mozzarella, grated
  3. 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  4. 1/2 tsp pesto
  5. 1/4 cup tomato paste (or tomato sauce)
  6. 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
  7. 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  8. 1 coloured pepper (your choice), seeds removed and thinly sliced
  9. BBQ Sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Spread tomoto paste, pesto and oregano over base of the 4 pita breads
  3. Add the chicken, mushrooms and your choice of pepper to the pita breads
  4. Sprinkle with cheese
  5. Drizzle BBQ sauce over each pizza before cooking
Optional Ingredients
  1. - Garlic flakes
  2. - Cracked black pepper
  3. - Chilli flakes
  4. You can add any other toppings to your pizza such as ham/ cracked egg (beaten) over the top of the pizza before cooking.
  5. Serve with a fresh salad.
